Following the pandemic, local sports leagues across the country saw a drastic drop-off in participation. In response, the province of British Columbia and viaSport launched a campaign to bring people back. Our message was a simple one: sports shape who we are. As young people, it shapes who we become. In addition to the obvious physical benefits, taglines like “Be Classy”, “Be Connected”, “Be Courageous” spoke to the values that sports instill in us. In our promotional campaign video, we invited individuals and organizations to share their stories, and it went on to amass over 400k views.
